Cartoonist documents her year in Planet Albany’s orbit

July 1, 2022 – In the wake of Julia Salazar’s surprise victory in the Democratic primary for state senate in 2018, cartoonist Sofia Warren embedded with the Brooklyn socialist for the following year. The experience, including the fight for new tenant protection laws in 2019, became a new graphic memoir, “Radical: My year with a socialist senator.”
