We’ve got finalized state senate maps from the court appointed special master!
This week we’ll have more analysis on the lines and what they mean for the fall elections, but here is some Twitter analysis to hold you over until then.
The Syracuse-area #nysenate maps represents by Democratic incumbents @SRachelMay and John Mannion have been shaken up in an attempt to keep Cayuga County whole, united Utica and Rome, and put Auburn with Syracuse. https://t.co/zpl3DPMqeD pic.twitter.com/i6C8HHYf7J

Erie County's #nysenate maps have changed since Monday, with the Special Master saying he "inadvertently split" Buffalo and paired it with rural areas (LEFT) .
New map (RIGHT) reflects "clearer separation" between rural and urban parts of Erie County. pic.twitter.com/MqpgcvijBW— David Lombardo (@poozer87) May 21, 2022
The special master has combined Columbia and Greene counties into one #nysenate district after receiving public input to do that. As a result, the new 41st District loses part of Ulster County.
Still (appears) sets up for @MichelleHinchey vs. @Sueserino4ny. pic.twitter.com/9nWvQ77XeL

There don't appear to be any changes from Monday to the Capital Region's #nysenate maps.
Still possibly heading to GOP incumbents primarying each other in SD-44 and two Dems primarying each other in SD-44 and SD-43. Both general elections should be competitive. pic.twitter.com/oKmHdKUJtc

On Long Island, the special master made changes to SD-4 that reflect a district "similar to one suggested by @commoncauseny."
He was trying to "respect communities of interest" and not abridge "racial or language minority voting rights." pic.twitter.com/4Luy9uIz3E
