Hochul looks to expand oversight of wetlands

Feb. 15, 2022 – Potentially one million acres of wetlands in New York could soon come under the protection of state regulations, as the result of a language in the governor’s budget. Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter’s Roger Downs and Audubon New York’s Erin McGrath make the case for the expanded coverage, which they argue is long overdue.
