New York farms poised to enter uncharted territory
Feb. 4, 2022 – In January, a special state wage board got the ball rolling on lowering the mandatory overtime threshold for farmworkers from 60 hours a week to 40 hours a week. Western New York dairy farmer Kendra Lamb makes the case why this will hurt the state’s agriculture industry, while New York Civil Liberties Union Executive Director Donna Lieberman calls the change a much needed benefit for farmworkers.
