Tish James releases transcripts from investigation into Cuomo (DOCS)
Hundreds of pages of transcripts from interviews conducted as part of the state attorney general’s office’s investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct by former Gov. Andrew Cuomo were released on Wednesday, including interviews with Cuomo, Charlotte Bennett, Lindsay Boylan and Brittany Commisso.
The documents, which served as the basis for the August report that led to Cuomo’s resignation, are being released, according to the attorney general’s office, because the Albany County District Attorney’s office is in the process of handing evidence over to the former governor and his legal team in the wake of the criminal complaint filed against him on Oct. 28.
Transcripts of the interviews with Cuomo and Bennett are available below. Addition transcripts and exhibits can be found on the attorney general’s website.
“As these materials are now being released by the Albany County District Attorney’s office — and in an effort to provide full transparency to the people of New York — the OAG has informed local district attorneys that it will immediately begin releasing, on a rolling basis, all transcripts and corresponding exhibits compiled during the investigation, pending redactions to protect the privacy of individuals, as appropriate,” reads a statement from the attorney general’s office.
