Counties ask for sales tax increase to offset revenue losses

Sept. 22, 2020 – The state is facing a multi-billion-dollar budget gap due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, we heard from Stephen Acquario, Executive Director of the New York State Association of Counties, on the recommendations his organization has released for the state to fill the gap.
