Heading to Albany: Veteran Democratic legislator fends off far-left challenge

Aug. 24, 2020 – The June primaries featured some major wins by progressive and far-left candidates. In the Capital Region, incumbent Assemblymember John McDonald (D-Cohoes) was able to fend off a challenge from his left. We discussed the lessons learned from the primary and what the legislature will politically look like come the new year when the Assemblymember joined the show.
