Short-term rental industry balks at proposed state registry

Aug. 28, 2024 – State lawmakers approved legislation creating a registry of short-term rental units in New York and imposing certain standards for operating the type of property that may appear on VRBO or Airbnb. We discuss the proposal with Nathan Rotman, the Northeast policy lead for Airbnb.
