State updates its long-term, waste management plan

March 4, 2024 – The Hochul administration has adopted a revised solid waste management plan, which includes policy ideas for the state Legislature, including putting a price on garbage. We discuss the long-term proposal with David Vitale, director of the division of materials management at the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
