Electric grid managers remind policymakers of reliability concerns

June 12, 2023 – Efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Empire State will require a phase out of fossil fuel generated power and increased reliance on renewable energy, but the current trajectory could produce an unreliable of electric grid, according to Rich Dewey, president & CEO of the New York Independent System Operator.
