Prison working conditions eyed for reform

Dec. 23, 2022 – The pandemic work experience of incarcerated New Yorkers has renewed conversation at the Capitol about addressing workplace safety and compensation rates for those living behind bars. Legal Aid Society Employment Law Unit case handler Jacalyn Goldzweig discusses legislative reforms that would prohibit forced prison labor and better regulate working conditions for incarcerated New Yorkers.
