Tying cancer screening coverage to science

June 3, 2022 – Legislation awaiting the governor’s signature would tie state health insurance coverage requirements on colorectal cancer screenings to the latest scientific recommendations, which currently recommend lowering the age for regular screenings from 50 to 45, according to Michael Davoli of the American Cancer Society / Cancer Action Network.
