‘Lawsuit lending’ industry plays by its own rules in New York

June 1, 2022 – The coalition Consumers for Fair Legal Funding is hoping state policymakers will start to police the burgeoning “lawsuit lending” industry, which can charge exorbitant interest rates that have the potential to eat up most of a legal settlement.
