Nursing homes sue state over staffing requirements
May 31, 2022 – A coalition of nursing homes in New York is suing the state to block the implementation of a 2021 law requiring their facilities to meet minimum staffing levels. Jim Clyne, president and CEO of LeadingAge New York, which represents non-profit and public continuing care operations, makes the case for the legal challenge and highlights the health care industry’s staffing challenges.
