Researchers tracking moose in the Adirondacks
Jan. 28, 2022 – The state Department of Environmental Conservation is partnering with wildlife organizations and institutions of higher to track and study moose in the wild to learn more about the animals. Krysten Schuler, a wildlife disease ecologist and co-director of the Cornell Wildlife Health Lab, and Jen Grauer, a PHD student at Cornell University, explain what we know about moose in New York, what this research project could teach us and whether Bullwinkle J. Moose is an accurate representation of the species.
