October 20, 2021 – While New York judges aren’t sentencing anyone to death anymore, they can essentially sentence someone to die in prison, a power that state Sen. Luis Sepulveda, a Bronx Democrat, is hoping to ban with his new bill ensuring that all criminal sentences come with the possibility of parole.
