August 10, 2021 – State lawmakers and Gov. Andrew Cuomo approved a law this year designed to prevent the spread of airborne infections in the workplace, but the state Department of Health – to the ire of labor advocates – won’t take the procedural step to trigger the protections afforded in the measure.
