Lawmakers propose broad investigatory powers for state attorney general

Mar. 5, 2021 – Under state law, the Attorney General had to wait for an official referral from the Governor’s office before her office could start its investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment against Gov. Cuomo. Sen. Todd Kaminsky (D-Long Beach), who has served as a federal prosecutor, broke down his legislation which would change that structure.
