A second chance is hard to come by for New Yorkers with criminal records

Sept. 30, 2020 – A new application is available for New Yorkers seeking to have paper records of their expunged low-level marijuana convictions destroyed. Emma Goodman, Staff Attorney in the Special Litigation Unit at the Legal Aid Society, explained the economic effects this can have on New Yorkers and the work the organization’s Case Closed initiative is working on.
