Environmentalists & budget watchdog join forces on plan to begin meeting climate goals
Sept. 16, 2020 – A report from the Citizens Budget Commission and the New York League of Conservation Voters highlights some of the state’s spending and tax exemptions that could be tweaked to help New York reach its ambitious climate goals outlined in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, and David Friedfel, Director of State Studies at the Citizens Budget Commission, shared the report’s findings.
