Senate Finance chair doubts lawmakers will address budget hole without Cuomo approval

Sept. 4, 2020 – State Senate Finance Committee Chair Liz Krueger, D-Manhattan, joined The Capitol Pressroom Friday to discuss the latest developments with the state budget, which has a multi-billion dollar hole in it as the result of the pandemic. She also talked about what the state Legislature might do – and might not do – if it convenes later this month, which is expected to happen.

As to whether state lawmakers will take the lead on closing the state’s budget hole, Krueger said, “The only way we can move forward is with a three-way agreement.”
