June 26, 2020: Reopening confusion for gyms contributes to YMCA financial crisis

Today, a number of regions will begin Phase 4 of the state’s reopening process. Gyms were just one of the institutions looking to reopen during this phase but new guidance from the state leaves them on the outside looking in. Kyle Stewart, Executive Director of the Alliance of New York State YMCAs, weighed in on the reopening process and the impact this will have on the services that YMCAs deliver.
