June 16, 2020: Legislature tries to soften the economic fallout of Indian Point shutdown

In April 2021, Indian Point nuclear power plant is set to shut off its remaining power generator. In preparation for the shutdown, two Westchester County area lawmakers, Sen. Pete Harckham (D-South Salem) and Asm. Sandy Galef (D-Ossining), have proposed a legislative package aimed at lessening the economic impact the shutoff will have. The Senator joined the program to explain what the bills will do, if enacted.
