June 15, 2020: Albany DA race becomes proxy battle over NY’s criminal justice laws

June 23rd will be primary day for New Yorkers enrolled in a political party. One of the races to watch is the Democratic primary for Albany County District Attorney as the incumbent is challenged from his political left. We met the two candidates vying for the nomination: incumbent David Soares and challenger Matt Toporowski.
